Acerca de esta escucha
Caragh O Brannon defended herself bravely when the enemy landed - only now she finds herself alone with one very angry Viking. Styr Hardrata sailed to Ireland intending to trade, never expecting to find himself held captive in chains by a beautiful Irish maiden. The fiercely handsome warrior both terrifies and allures Caragh, but he is forbidden territory. He is the enemy, and he is married. Yet Styr harbors a secret that just might set them both free.

OK but not my jam.
First of all, I really liked the narrator's voice with that delightful accent. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the story as much. It may just be a personal preference but I don't like a tale where the female lead chases a grumpy male while disparaging herself. She did seem TSTL at times. He was always having to save her.
Furthermore, I find it hard to believe that her family lived on the ocean and fished as a part of subsistence yet she was starving because when left alone she didn't know how to fish. I also was incredulous that the whole clan was starving yet no one in the clan knew how to fish including the elderly men? The male lead (of course) taught her how to fish just in the nick of time to prevent starvation. Literally, TSTL.
In addition, at the end of the writing I still felt like she was the second choice even though I respected the choices both of them made in consideration of his marriage. While there is a HEA, the reader has to wade through plenty of angst to get there. Some people might enjoy that, I didn't.
In conclusion, this is the first book I have read by this author and it wasn't all bad. I would try another just in case it is a one off.
