Agent Richard Chance is on a relentless mission to avenge his partner's murder by bringing down master counterfeiter Eric Masters. As Chance delves into the dangerous underworld of Los Angeles, he faces a high-stakes game of cat and mouse where every move could be his last.

The novel that inspired the iconic film of the same name, To Live and Die in L.A. is a gripping thriller with a vivid portrayal of the darker side of the City of Angels.

The book is fine. You can tell if was written by a former treasury agent. Honesty my main problem was with the reader. He constantly takes unnecessary pauses in the middle of sentences. I think it's for dramatic effect (and perhaps occasionally when turning a page), but it's distracting and causes the listener to have to work harder to parse the meaning. Perhaps he doesn't realize he's doing so, if so it should be on tbe producer to catch this and correct it.

Movie is a classic, book is meh
