Mallory Henson is only in her third year at Coral Reef High School, and her parents recently divorced off. It was a good thing that her mother and father divorced, though. As terrible as it sounds, Mallory's genetic daddy is an abusive drunk, so things did change for the better after her father Alfred and her mother Victoria legally divorced, and then directly afterwards when her father moved out of the fancy two bedroom apartment she and her parents lived in together for nearly seventeen years straight.
After her parents divorced off, Mallory has been feeling like she needs more of a social life and everything. She befriends a boy close to her age in high school by the name Jeremiah Thatch. Turns out, Jeremiah is much more than an ordinary teenage boy. She discovers that he is gifted with supernatural powers, and the undeniable fact that the boy is a young wizard going through intense magic training.
Later on, of course, Mallory ventures around with Jeremiah, going through challenges with him, magical battles and other out of this world adventures with him. What will all transpire in this epic tale?
