Titan's war for freedom rages in the shadows. But to claim it, they'll need a leader.

Kale Drayton knows his place. As a Ringer born on Titan, he's used to keeping his head down and his mouth shut--no matter how much the Earthers abuse him or his own kind berate him. So, when he's caught stealing from a wealthy merchant, he's lucky to be sentenced to low-paying maintenance work on a gas-harvesting ship instead of life in a cell... or worse.

But when his mother is quarantined, Kale finds himself backed into a corner. To pay for her medicine, he needs money--the kind of money he'll never make sweeping floors and cleaning ships. When he receives a mysterious offer asking him to do a simple job in exchange for his mother's treatment, Kale takes a chance once more. All he must do is upload a program onto his employer's ship and all of his problems will disappear.

What starts as a straightforward smuggling gig soon reveals its shattering repercussions. The people who hired Kale are more dangerous than he suspected -and he's more important to them than he ever could have imagined.

Grab the exciting sequel to Titanborn, which will transport you to the other side of the conflict on Titan, and the Ringers' fight for independence.

Not really my cup of tea, but we'll written! I like how the second book is from an entirely different perspective. I was bored due to the characters life but kept listening for the larger story plot.

The character development in this one and through the series is very well done. As always RC Bray is fantastic in his performance.

I love the story from the other side. This story does not need book 1. But the two together paint a very clever picture.

keep them coming. but please cut back on the swearing. it just isn't needed.

great second book

The story is slow bringing the solid foundation, but as it grows, the boy from down under, learns, loves and becomes the ONE to revive his home world!

Slow start with ramps to action,!

This is my third in the series. Enjoyed this one as well. Two of the books are from different perspectives which was different from other series that I have listened to. R C Bray is the best narrator ever. He makes action come alive. He also makes each character with a voice that is perfect for them.

Great addition to the series

I’m really enjoying this series. Really good writing and character building and superb narration, as always, by RC Bray.

I really enjoyed this continuation of this series and liked the way the author gave a whole different perspective to the 1st story without actually repeating the original story.

Excellent Story!

I wasn't expecting a lot from this book. The description made it seem like the entire book would simply be the same story as Titanborn, but from another point of view. I've never been interested in those kind of books but I liked the narrator and story enough to give it a try when my credits came in.

Although the first half of the book takes place at the same time as the events in Titanborn but doesn't rehash the story, it just alludes to it to give you a sense of scale. Titan's Son shows who Kale actually is, his story and adds to the overall world in many clever ways that I personally didn't expect. if you liked Titanborn this book is definitely worth a listen.

A great sequel.

Rhett C. Bruno shines when discussing the science of outer space possible spacecrafts but the MC is the weak link in the book. It's okay that he's only 18 and, in fact, he is written very close to what an 18 year old would act like. Most of the book he was extremely cautious and constantly scared of catching earther germs and contracting a debilitating disease and then at a random earther slight snaps and he brutalizes the guard in a packed galley, an offense that if caught would end up being ejected from a space lock.

Without giving out spoilers, all I will say is that because of his random fits, hearing him voiced by R.C. Bray was unsettling in that the narrator is known for his mature voice and steady approach that is absolutely not what the book made the MC out to be at all. Also, the constant references to the spacers, erm, ringers having to use face masks was a real turn-off, what with the US having to deal with that for the past couple of years. Finally, the first part of the book was an overuse of exposition which slowed the pace of the story.

I had pre-purchased Book 3, but have decided to return it for a credit refund.

Good science but unable to get invested in MC
