Thunderbirds are giant birds which have been known by the North American Indians from time immemorial.

These birds are part of the culture, totem poles, and Indian history and mythology.

The giant birds have also been seen in modern times. Some observers say they are just giant, regular birds, while others say they have the appearance of pterodactyls.

In this book, we review American Indian beliefs and legends about these giant birds. We also review the many reports not only in North America, but all over the world of giant birds and/or flying reptiles.

There are similar sightings all around the world, too, and we cover these also.

Finally, I make an effort to determine what these sightings really are and if they might also make a case for living Pterodactyls in our world.

A Terrible Flight of Fancy

An interesting collection of anecdotes and stories (some of which are repeated three or four times.) The author references photographs as evidence that are well known fakes such as the civil war “phot” of a pterodactyl that was a marketing photo for the show “Freaky Links”. (If you want you can see the original model at Loren Colemans International Cryptozoology museum.) in addition in the audio version the author cannot say the words “origin” or any word that starts with “pt” correctly. Overall this should have been a pamphlet or blog entry and not a book. Look elsewhere for good solid information.
