But on the steps of the police headquarters, they come face-to-face with Ribetti’s cantankerous father-in-law, who has been overheard making threats against Ribetti. And when the body of a night watchman is at the father-in-law’s glass factory next to an annotated copy of Dante’s Inferno, Brunetti must find out if there is a connection between this and whoever is ruining the waters of the lagoon.

Good story line an as always Colacci is absolutely outstanding

Leone always has a social or political point to make and some times it can take away from the story, but this was not one of those. Environmental issue weaved well into the murder mystery (which is why I read these books). Less complaining about tourists in this one also was a welcome characteristic. Colacci always does an outstanding job and I have started to purchase books he narrates being the primary reason.
