The cardsharks (Molly Howard and Helen Reynolds) were taking Helen’s two sons, Leif and Jeremy, on another cruise.
This time they were on board the Calypso II, and it was way more expensive than the previous two they’d taken so they had to win a lot more at Blackjack to afford it.
The teenagers were very excited and so was their father, because he realized the stakes in the Casino on board would be much higher than the last ship he'd been on with them.
Helen wasn't very happy her scummy ex-husband managed to scrape the money together to accompany them, but what could she do? He did take the boys on the shore excursions they wanted to enjoy, and that left her and Molly free to do their own thing.
And Norman was right, the stakes and the payout at the poker table on board Calypso II were w-a-y more lucrative for him than the Vista Voyager.
Helen and Molly suspected Norman’s success at poker was due to cheating, but they didn't want to prove that because they didn't want the boys embarrassed.
Only days into the cruise, they wished they had exposed him. He upset someone so badly they tried to push him overboard...
And that was just part of Norman’s troubles. It was a good thing Security Officer Phillip Stone was on board to help keep him safe…or as safe as Norman’s misbehavior would allow.
