What I had in mind when I wrote Thoughts from a Recovering Addict was to reach the addict who questioned him or herself about the reality of living a life Clean and Sober. I referred back to what it was like for me over the past 40 years and how hard it was for me to grasp the concept behind the material I was looking at. Thoughts came about for this reason. A simple but effective one step at a time bullet point about what went on in my mind throughout the different stages of my Recovery.
©2025 Mark A Adamski (P)2025 Mark A AdamskiI had the good fortune to meet Mark after he entered recovery. He is naturally kind and generous, He wrote this book with the goal of helping other alcoholics and addicts. After a series of physical accidents, Mark had a built-in excuse for using alcohol and narcotics to quell the pain. His history reveals that even for a man with burn injuries and multiple broken bones that did not heal properly, he discovered he was far better off and much happier without the use of opiates or alcohol. The book provide provides an important message for all alcoholics and opiate users, including those opiate users who received their narcotics via a prescription from a doctor. The narrator of the book does an excellent job communicating Mark’s message.
A harrowing story of pain and recovery
