Resumen del Editor

Creativity, offers Thomas Moore, can make your life sacred. On Thomas Moore on Creativity, the best-selling author of Care of the Soul opens a doorway to a life rich in the blessings of everyday creativity. With a sweeping command of history and art, Moore transports us to the age of the great philosophers, who saw creativity as a direct link to God. Moore calls for a re-imagining of the creative process, into a way of living that nourishes the spirit, and promises to bring awe and beauty to the smallest details of your everyday life. This creativity born of the soul, Moore teaches, is a path to self-enrichment that is open to every one of us.

Outstanding - why have I waited so many years?

What made the experience of listening to Thomas Moore on Creativity the most enjoyable?

I loved the gentle exploration of issues that every creative person grapples with - no pat solutions, trite frameworks, just the amazing complexity of how it really is and how this helps shape us.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Acceptance of ignorance, the aggression of creativity, the erotic encounter of openness with every facet of daily life - the insights presented in this book kindle small fires that could just radically transform the balance of any life of an open soul.

Any additional comments?

Earlier volumes written by Moore have ended up on my bookshelf with dog-eared pages and multiple markings per page for the precious gems of content that they contain - or, as in the case of two of them, loaned out and never returned. This one I listened to as an audiobook - a different style of encounter. I am on the edge of just buying another of his (audio)books to take in more but may still just listen to this one again to take in better.
