This book is one of the most complete I’ve heard on the topic of anxiety caused by past wounds. Not only because it covers a wide range of topics, from understanding where our pain comes from and learning to see it from a different perspective in order to heal, to establishing healthier boundaries with ourselves and others, but also because it’s written from a place of love and empathy.

That compassionate perspective really helps me connect with the book since it feels like someone is speaking to me with genuine care, rather than from an artificial place of trying to sell something.

Since healing wounds is a slow process, I especially appreciate that this audiobook doesn’t rush. It doesn’t treat the topics superficially, instead it explains everything in detail giving me time to reflect. That’s something many books don’t do, and in my case, rushing the material actually harms the learning and healing process.
