You can feel his appreciation for dedicated zookeepers and the welfare of zoo animals, including Noah the giraffe, and the monkeys and the tigers that came in for health checkups.
Dr Reid also details many who have helped him along the way: his partners and mentors, veterinary staff, his students, friends and many clients. You understand his gratefulness for the kindness of farmers, whether he’s performing ultrasound checks on valuable cattle or out for an emergency surgery in a blizzard.
