All of us have a story to tell. Some of us decided to become carpenters, farmers,, or make music as a musician. Some of us decided to become teachers, nurses, doctors, or soldiers, and a few of us became writers. Across our diverse neighborhoods, and communities all of us serve in one capacity or another. All of us make our mark as we go about our lives, but as we live, and breathe a pervasive killer stalks our families, and communities. All of us share the work of creating a diverse tapestry of life across our modern society as the silent killer does its work, because it does not discriminate who it claims. It claims the lives of our teachers nurses, and musicians.

It kills our young, and life-experienced seniors both. It also steals the lives of the face of the random stranger who was standing in front of you at the checkout line last week. It's also killed some of our celebrated, celebrities, people associated with happiness, and success are now gone forever. It kills 22 veterans everyday, our national treasures are passing away at a tragic rate.

I hope my story serves as both an intervention, and a story of hope, because there is another way! Suicide is 100% preventable!
