Theodore Roosevelt was the president who changed America and molded it into the country that we know and love today. He was the man who took the Presidency to new heights and introduced new powers that were designed to tackle many of the pressing issues of the day.
Roosevelt governed at a time where corruption was rife. This book looks at a number of his policies and examines his early life, when so many of his ideas as to how the world should operate were developed. In addition, it looks at the story behind the man himself, from his argumentative ways, to his willingness to tackle lost causes that he believed in.
The story of Theodore Roosevelt is one that teaches us more about the role of the president than any other individual that came before him. His policies brought new rights to workers and protections to the environment. His actions took down large businesses and stopped their attempts to create a monopoly. His decisions changed the course of history, brought the United States into the new century, and built a future upon which it still stands today.
