A Perfect Finale Brought to Life by Sara Brodt

Then There Was You by Laura Beth is the absolute gem I hoped it would be, the perfect finale to the Grace General series. The story itself is heartfelt, witty, and beautifully emotional, but what made this listening experience unforgettable was Sara Brodt’s narration.

Sara didn’t just read this book, she embodied it. She captured every ounce of angst, heartbreak, and joy with such authenticity that I felt every emotion right alongside Meg and Jim. Her delivery brought the characters to life. Meg’s sass and vulnerability, Jim’s golden retriever charm, and the warmth of the Grace General crew all shone through in her performance. The banter sparkled, the tender moments felt raw and real, and when the emotional scenes hit, they landed perfectly because of Sara’s incredible range.

Laura Beth has written a finale full of laughter, love, and heart, and Sara elevated it into something even more special. The epilogues in particular were a delight, Sara gave each of the FMCs their unique voice and energy, making their bond feel so tangible and true.

If you’ve loved this series in print, do yourself a favor and listen to it. And if you’re new to Grace General, I highly recommend starting from the beginning so you can fully experience Laura Beth’s world and Sara’s phenomenal narration. Together, they created an audiobook that I’ll carry with me for a long time.

Touching & heartfelt

I loved this story so much. MMC always shows up and is exactly who Meg needs. The emotional journey Meg takes is powerful and yet touching. Loved this start to finish, especially after getting to know these characters in the previous books. And I adored the bonus epilogue!
