The immaturity of the dialogue of book and the reading of it.

I have never written a book review but this one.
On this book I am saying to myself “this sounds like a 16 year old teenage girl wrote this”.
I could not finish this at chapter 3. I always try to give a book a chance to get into it. Sorry, but the audio version of this did not do this book any good if that could be done.

I really enjoyed reading this author.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.

quick, easy, and low-angst romcom

Overall this was cute, but definitely not a favorite of mine from R.S. Grey :(

* opposites attract & grumpy/sunshine
* he falls first
* forced proximity / one bed trope
* setting: Island resort
* slow burn
* dual POV

I can't quite pinpoint exactly why I didn't love this, but I feel like maybe it was the character and relationship development - it all felt too fast but also inconsistent? I can usually connect quickly to R.S. Grey's characters, but these two are very forgettable? I hate even saying that...

I was also confused with some of the timeline in the beginning - as I was listening, I thought I had missed something because the jump back in time was just so out of nowhere.

Overall, it's a quick easy and low-angst romcom that I give 3 stars!

Not the best R.S Grey Plot

Very simple plot, good easy listen but not my favorite. Enjoyed the female narrator’s voice and storytelling

GREAT performances

The female narrator is SPOT ON! The comedic timing of the female narrator honestly makes this book even better. Her skills plus no third act break up make this audiobook a good one.
If you like real friendships, good communication and frenemies to lovers Their Last Resort is for you!!

Made me feel warm and cozy - which is exactly what I needed emotionally this week.
