A small town is mystified when the high-profile guests attending the Masquerade Ball drink champagne that’s been poisoned.
If that wasn’t enough, they are also gassed. Guests drop to the floor in the beautiful historical Blue Jay Bay library.
Molly didn’t drink, and when she saw her best friend Angela collapse along with most of the other guests, she and a few others covered their faces and ran for the exit.
Outside, Molly gasps for air, coughing but feeling fortunate she escaped in time. Although some of the others attempting to exit were not as fortunate as they collapsed on the grass.
What could be happening? Was there a gas leak, she thought as she dialed 911.
