In 7 simple experiences, I teach you how to stop taking everything personally. Guaranteed.

I still remember the bitter feeling as I walked down a corridor in the building where I worked. I had promised myself never to take anything personal again. But, there it was, annoyed. I was mad. I felt bad about the toughness and attitude of my boss. Literally, I could do 500 things well, however, she would observe and criticize strongly, the detail, or the small lack, of what I had forgotten to do, for any circumstance.

That afternoon, as I struggled to complete an assigned task, I went over to where she was to grab something from the desk. She interrupted me and began to detail something insignificant that I had missed to do the day before. Her attitude was challenging. Her gaze threw anger, and although in the moment I was able to keep my composure, minutes later, my mind recriminated the fact and I felt distressed for not knowing how not to take that and many other things personally.

Little or nothing did I know, that I was about to find out. I was about to free myself of that suffocating negative charge in just a matter of seconds. It was something so simple that I couldn't believe it. I was amazed. I don't understand how a simple question could have such an intense and powerful effect on my mood and attitude. But it happened, and I am grateful that today you will be able to use this same tool yourself along with everything else that I will teach you in this book.

The book is short but full of meat. A big thanks to the author who shared his life experiences and his journey to not taking things personally. The tools he shared in his book have been very useful to me. Tom L
