The young Tsar had a dream, which he shared with his wife and with an old courtier. The queen gave her explanation, but the old courtier eagerly refutes her arguments, and a polite but heated discussion ensued. For a time, the young Tsar followed their arguments, but presently he ceased to be aware of what they said, listening only to the voice of his guide in the dream.
