I was born and raised in Yorkshire and I have lived in the county for most of my life. I have visited the coast many times since childhood for holidays, day trips and pleasure and know it well. So I thought why not put down a little of my knowledge and experience of what the coast of my native county has to offer the visitor.
For each of the places we visit as I act as your virtual tour guide. I have written about the place itself, some of the main attractions, history, what to and things to see. From the wilds of Spurn Point to the hidden beauty of Staithes, it is all here for you.
In this book you have my take on the Yorkshire coast based on my own visits and knowledge over the years. Whether you are considering visiting the area yourself or interested to learn a little about it I hope you will enjoy listening.
