slow at first with improvement about midway

I Bought this book because of Will Thorn aka Alex Wyndham, my favorite narrator, hands down. I almost quit after the first 3 chapters, but hung in until the end. There was a too much sex IMHO. Sex in a romance is like icing on a cake. It should enhance the story....not overwhelm. But fast-forward resolved that issue.
The story was good and the characters were fairly well developed. I'm glad I stayed til the end.....will listen again.

Great Story

I love the characters and the redemption in this story. It is funny, intriguing and a true redemptive love story.

Good story

It took me a little bit to get into this book due to all the internal monologue in the beginning but I'm glad I stuck with it. For me, the story really began to pick up close to the halfway point and from there it was non-stop to the end. Once Alexander got out of his own way and his mind, he and Helia had a real connection. The romance was slow to build, despite the early attractions, but definitely worth it. The narrators did a good job bringing the story to life.

Not my favorite

I had a difficult time even starting this story since I couldn’t stand the main hero after the first chapter. It did get better and I have liked her books. I’m not a huge fan of too much dialogue her books have back and forth but overall like most plots. This one was not real uplifting or enjoyable.

Not That Great

I was not crazy about the hero. He was too arrogant and rude for me.

I could not finish this

Awful main male character. Evil personified. The Scottish accent for the main female character was almost impossible to decipher. The story dragged. Life is too short. Disappointed.
