Dark moody mystery

Compelling storyline with relatable characters and atmosphere. A great autumn read for anyone that enjoys police procedurals or mysteries.

[SPOILERS AHEAD] I felt that this book was pretty boring overall. The so-called twist at the end was predictable and subpar. This was supposed to be a suspenseful mystery? Nothing about the story or the writing felt suspenseful to me. Also, the entire plot line about the main character’s pill popping and previous head injury lead absolutely nowhere, why was this even part of the story? Just trying to make the character more interesting I suppose? Anyway, wasn’t the worst book I’ve ever read, but certainly not one I’ll be revisiting.
