Acerca de esta escucha

The aging general Sen ‘Su wanted to be more than a killer. He wanted to be a thinker. He also wanted to teach the boy emperor, Pean ‘Fu the Innocent and the ruler of a thousand worlds, how to be a thinker. The shadow-men of Golden proved too strong. Dispirited Sen ‘Su fled to his lost home world of Terra, where he had been called Bran Tray.
He returned to a home he no longer recognised and to a love that seemed lost to the mists of time. Rhainna, the young girl Bran Tray had left behind was gone. Only the wrinkled old crone called the Heeler-woman remained.
The boy, San Tray, came to kill him. Sen ‘Su saw promise in the boy and tried to teach him about the long forgotten Greek philosophers as he had once hoped to teach the emperor. Sen ‘Su asked the boy the most important question he knew, ‘What is the wisdom of rain?’
The boy replied, ‘It makes you wet.’
Sen ‘Su sighed but did not give up hope despite learning events on Terra mirrored the chaos of the empire. Tomo GeHan, a warlord, as demanding a tribute be paid as the price of peace. Bran Tray’s village had fallen on hard times and could not pay the tribute. Sen ‘Su was old but still a general. He decided there was another way to reach peace.
When Sen ‘Su was told that a great honour had been bestowed on him, he agreed to meet the High Abbott of Mist Abbey. As Bran Tray, he did his best to be civil until the Abbot insulted the Heeler-woman. Sen ‘Su revealed himself once more.
The shadow-men sent Thorgon, the emperor’s new general, to find Sen ‘Su and kill him. Sen ‘Su and Thorgon made a bargain. When Thorgon returned the emperor’s city of Golden, the boy went with him. San Tray learned he had been given the impossible task of teaching an emperor he had never met. Events, along with Elrod II the lobotomised supercomputer, conspired for the two boys to meet. When the shadow-men learned of San Tray and who he was, they accused Thorgon of treason and the pair were condemned to death.
Only the boy-emperor could save them.
But what of the universe?
Could it be saved too?
Was there time for Pean ‘Fu to learn the wisdom of rain.
