The adventures of Ratty, Mole, Badger, and Toad of Toad Hall. The Wind in the Willows appeals to both children and adults, but for different reasons. Children love the zany Toad of Toad Hall and his frantic escapades. Adults appreciate the lyrical, superlatively wistful descriptions of the rustic English landscape. Everyone recognises the values of loyalty and friendship that resonate throughout its pages. That is why The Wind in the Willows has been recognised, for more than 100 years, as one of the greatest books of all time. Now you can have this incomparable story read to you. This audio version is completely faithful to the original novel.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. The story is relevant no matter how old you are. The reader adds just the right amount of character differentiation. His changes in voice make the characters live as you listen. This story is just uplifting. It makes me feel good! What did you like best about this story?
I love the field mice stopping by mole's hole and the mole and rat getting lost in the woods and then finding badger's den. You can apply any number of your human friends to these characters. The toad is arrogant and conceited but likeable; the mole tries to make everyone happy, and rat is the solid fixer we all wish we could be.Have you listened to any of Shane Sody’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. This is my first but I like his style so hope to find other books he is reading. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Nothing particular. I just like the entire storyline.Wind in the Willows Still Hits a Home Run

The Willows. I had never heard the entire story before and hadn’t heard how Toad Hall was reclaimed. The talk of life on the river had me fall asleep and dream of being part of the story. I’m going to get the book but most likely will hold my grandchildren and we will listen to Audible to hear the wonderful story again and again. Thank you for making this classic story available!!!
