Verity's widowed mother has found love again, but Verity's not convinced her new beau is as perfect as he seems. The complex relationship between the two women is expertly woven. Her determination to uncover the truth about her mother's boyfriend leads to shocking revelations and a jaw-dropping shocker of a finale. The tension builds slowly, culminating in a chilling climax. Highly recommended and worth my cherished credit. Epic, indeed!
