If you're reading this, you are probably a concerned parent. Like many of us, we often wonder about our ability to raise competent, happy, and resilient children. After all, parenting is difficult and every child is unique, with needs that show up differently at various stages of development.
So, how do we know what is normal? Are they inattentive or just plain lazy, unmotivated, or actually struggling to do the work? Should I be seeking professional help or support at school? If so, what kind of help and where do I start? These are very common questions of overwhelmed parents, and ones that I frequently address in my child psychology practices.
