When one of the residents of Dominic Savio Academy, a private reform school for the sons of the wealthy disappears. Monty DiNardo, an alumnus who is both a successful writer and a crack private investigator is called in to find the youth quietly. Monty, suspecting this situation is more than some routine runaway, finds himself drawn into the disappearance of several young men from Catholic institutions. As he delves deeper, Monty uncovers a pattern linking small anti-Catholic booklets to the missing young men.
