The Vietnam War military conflict that was fought in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1950. In many respects this war was also fought from Washington DC. American military advisors arrived in what was then French Indochina beginning in 1950.

U.S. further involvement escalated in the early 1960s, with troop levels tripling in 1961 and tripling again in 1962 and fighting continued until its peak in 1968 and final defeat in to the fall of Saigon on April 1975.
