All I wanted was a weekend away from it all...

Graduation was on the horizon, and Jonathan and his friends were eager to leave their small world behind. But when a member of their close-knit group mysteriously disappears, a chilling unease settles in.

As 'Missing Person' posters saturate the town's streets and the sheriff is without clues, Jonathan and his friends decide to escape to a remote cabin in the woods to get away from the sympathetic looks of their classmates and the anxiety of it all. But their troubles will not be so easily left behind.

The idyllic getaway takes a dark turn as they discover they are not alone. Someone, or something is lurking in the shadows of the tranquil wintery forest, and their weekend retreat soon becomes a nightmarish fight for survival. Now, it's up to Jonathan to navigate the blood-soaked puzzle and ensure he and his friends make it out alive.

Will he succeed in outsmarting the unseen threat, or will he and his friends join the ranks of the legendary Vanishing Eight?

Some good twists

The story was interesting. It went down a path I did not expect. There were a couple twists in it that I did not see coming. At times it did feel like the author changed their mind about the story but overall it worked. I do feel it may been a bit rushed but it still works.

Not sure what the one reviewer was saying about the issues with narrator. I thought he did a great job with the different characters. Some parts I felt like it was two narrators but you could always tell which character was talking due to the narrator changing things up for each one. He really got into each character to the point where you almost felt like you were there. Need more narrators like that instead of some of the monotoned I have heard in past.

Great narration

The story it self wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea, but the outstanding narration kept me listening. I’m always impressed with narrators who are able to read the parts of numerous characters in a way that doesn’t confuse the listener. This was my first time hearing a narration done by Jake Cline. I’m looking forward to the next.

This story was intense!!

Loved the story line and the narrator kept you intrigued the whole time!!! The voice dialogue was right on point!!

Narrator needs to be fired

I have no idea how this got past any sort of quality control. It started out well, but by chapter 3 the guy was reading the same lines 4-5 times, stopping (to check his phone??), and chapter 4 starts with like 30s of room recording from the narrators studio.

I have no idea if the story is good or not, because this half baked disaster needs to be sent back, edited and the narrator needs to return any fee he took from the author.
