The VI is a continuation of the retelling of my adoption nightmare. I am a survivor of childhood abuse at the hands of my adoptive parents Carol and John Thomas. In The VI we travel through the court proceedings and media nightmare led by a prominent well dressed litigator Sandra Thompson on behalf of her clients the Thomas's. We explore the release of the Thomas's from prison and how I the survivor have to navigate through the world as a forgotten adoptee having to deal with the trauma of my story all on my own. The VI is a deep dive into the aftermath of my failed adoption and how that failure has effected the lives of my five adopted siblings and me. I am the voice, the narrator. I am the one but WE are The VI.
