Resumen del Editor

Robert Baxter once reveled in the intoxicating delights of Atopia - the man-made island where humans lose themselves in a world of boundless virtual realities. Now, Bob has returned to immerse himself in this mind-altering, consciousness-sharing refuge from the eroding Earth.

But something is very wrong. Bob feels a tidal wave of doom cresting above the pleasure dome that is Atopia. As alternate universes perish, the salvation of all he loves - and all that exists - rests with Bob alone. To save the future, he must journey to the farthest edge of the past, where existence itself began and Atopia's deepest secrets may lie. Yet even the knowledge Bob ultimately gains may not be a match for an enemy as powerful as a god, and as all-consuming as death...

A philosophical ending with real life lesson

I read a review that says you could read this book without reading the first two. While this book does recap a little of book 2 ending....I highly suggest you read/listen to book 1&2. It’s a great journey and there are so many references in book 3 that you won’t understand if you jumped ahead. And so many replays, flash backs, flash forwards...I feel a new comer would be confused. The philosophical conversations are amazing...it really makes you think. And a lot of worldly sayings/quotes are referenced often. I don’t want to give any spoilers...so keep an open mind and prepare yourself to think outside of the box.

WOW… a frightening tale of whoa

Stir is a little choppy but a good one. Not a future I would like to see.

a book report?

like listening to 1st 2 books as a book report, already read them. where's book 3? the first chapter is a synopsis of the first 2 books because the writer doesn't know how to connect stories in the context of the story so they had to write a review to connect the books together.

Awesome

This book perfectly sums up the trilogy of The Utopia Chronicles! I enjoyed every second of it. I recommend it for anyone and everyone.

Different

Very different from the first two books in the series. It does an excellent job of towing everything together. It was confusing but stick it out and get to the end. Definitely worth the read.

It's all an illusion

This was not as action packed or as suspenseful as the two previous books. It took sometime to really follow this last story. Once the story gets going it turns into a philosophical masterpiece that invites us all to love and accept all of who we are.

3.5 Stars

I think all 3 books could have been combined into 1 really good book. The book covers Objective reality, meaning of life and other philosophical topics. There is a lot of science and thought provoking questions that I enjoyed. The beginning of the book goes over what happened in the first 2 books quite well. You would probably be able to read this one as a standalone. Once again though, the story felt hard to keep track of and follow sometimes. It became hard to tell when he traveled to different universes and what time period it was. I am glad religion didn't take a big part of the story and just became part of the questions that are asked throughout the book. I really enjoyed the science behind these books, but wish they were better written. Narration was great. It would have been nice if Luke Daniels read the other books as well. Nick's narration was good in the 2nd book though.

Muddy conclusion

This final conclusion of the Atopia series sees Robert Baxter existing and crossing between multiverses while trying to stop an evil that is destroying entire universes. The scope here is obviously quite large, covering universes and time. Bob works to solve the mystery of "the destroyer" and save the Atopia he once knew. There is a lot of time and universe jumping, lots of philosophical wanderings, and many questions about good vs. evil, humanity vs artificial, etc. The story was quite entertaining and the plot kept on a good pace. On the negative side, often times things were a bit confusing and not well explained, and the author decided to take a very anti-Christian stance throughout the book which probably wasn't necessary. For these reasons, I give it a 3.5. For the audiobook, the narrator did a super job without any missteps.

Controlling the future?

The story continues but this time the focus is Bob trying to solve the problem of Atopia's future. A lot of repeating of parts of the story but like a game it branches due to changes being made.

Using the Audible version allows you to feel like you are listening to a play verses just listening to a single voice.

Love...

This series is amazing! Some people complained it got too philosophical but I think it's fantastic! And Luke Daniels' performance is exceptional as always!! Love love love!
