Forced awake to survive, he discovers a terrifying truth: his mind remains clear even as his body begins its inexorable breakdown. He possesses the power of the Ascended, without their debilitating psychosis. But this 'clean' power comes at the same devastating physical cost, each hour pushing him closer to his own catastrophic collapse.

With time running out, and his body betraying him, Ace must rally the Drowsy, weaponizing the very act of rest against an enemy that fears sleep more than death.
