Wish I could read this for the first time again!

The Unseen Player completely pulled me in from the very first chapter! I kept thinking I’d just listen to ONE more chapter, but this quickly turned into me flying through the book and now I honestly regret finishing it so fast because I wanted to stay in this world a little longer. This author has ability to blend paranormal intrigue with real, human emotion. Beyond the excitement this mystery, what stood out to me was her writing style and ability to describe the emotions of the characters. Several moments genuinely moved me, and some parts were even hard to read given how emotional they were. The narrator does an amazing job bringing the characters to life and I really enjoyed listening to this. I would absolutely recommend this book!

Narration was incredible.

I enjoyed the plot of this novel. The characters were relatable and enjoyable throughout their trials and tribulations. The core of this story very much feels like a love story between two broken souls as they continue to grow and heal from past loss and trauma. The narrator does a great job with pacing and inflection. I look forward to more of M.A. Senft’s future works.

The story starts with a subtle supernatural aspect—the kind you might have felt in your own life and brushed off as your mind playing tricks on you. It grows and builds from there. I am looking forward to future titles and am excited to see what the characters get themselves into. The narrator has a great voice as well; it makes me want to listen to him tell ghost stories around a campfire.
