Their existing building structures don’t have the capacity to with stand during the devastation of these hazards. But it is tough for them to develop or improve the resilience of their buildings without getting proper support, guideline, action plan and assurance from the govt. and local authorities.

This guidebook has been analyzed all of these issues and assessed the risks of the different building types and the vulnerable communities. Different literatures are reviewed to effectively evaluate the findings of the study. Suitable books and journals have been referred to complete the literature review and gather appropriate information. Both qualitative and quantitative analyses are used to analyze the collected data. Impacts of extreme cyclones and high winds on the buildings are properly analyzed and discussed with some examples.

In this context, risk assessment framework is introduced in this guidebook to identify the risks of building structure due to extreme cyclones and high winds. The framework also helps to develop rigorous action plans based on the level of risk of different building types and the vulnerable communities. Some control and review measures are decided as well to improve the efficiency of the plan. Future recommendations are provided based on the findings and evaluation of the entire analyses. The technique to improve the resilience of buildings against extreme cyclones and high winds are thoroughly presented here.
