Alma had been raised in what was called a backward area of the country. The family didn't care what others thought. They lived the best they could and survived through war and peace. War seemed to be happening more and more. Family members taken in the middle of the night.
That is what happened to her beloved husband Micah. She thinks of this as she totters up to the graveyard. She is now an old woman and her husband lies up here with many family members. Their family has used the standing stone hill for over 300 years. It's sunset and the sun is shining on the large standing stone. She traces the glowing runes with her finger and her hand slides into the stone.
She awakes in a room that doesn't exist in her time: the house had been burned to the ground. Her young husband enters the room and tells her how much her has missed her. She looks at her hands and she has young hands. How?
