Acerca de esta escucha
Five years later, the lights still twinkle on Christmas Key—but a lot has changed.
The island’s baby boom has officially landed: there’s a brand-new kindergarten class and a whole lot of chaos in the sandboxes. Social media influencers have discovered paradise, and now they’re everywhere—vlogging by the water, podcasting from cafés, and trying to make “#IslandVibes” a thing.
But the real story this season isn’t in the hashtags or holiday lights.
It’s Ruby Hudson.
The beloved former First Lady and part-time Christmas Key resident has returned to the island with her husband, bestselling biographer Dexter North. They’ve split their time between Christmas Key, Shipwreck Key, and NYC since falling in love—but now, they’re laying low after Ruby picks up a persistent and possibly dangerous stalker.
As always, the islanders rally. They tighten ranks. They offer casseroles, holiday cheer, and homemade security plans involving walkie-talkies and flashlights. But not even Christmas Key can control everything—and this time, the threat might be closer than anyone thinks.
Come back to your favorite island escape for a story of community, courage, and connection—with a cameo from your favorite Shipwreck Key couple and a heartwarming reminder that home is where the people who love you are.

Virtual voice for me was torture. Just too bland & ruined the story. Could not get into the characters & the kidnapper was just sad in the story. Pie in the sky mayor Holly wants to populate the basically retired island community with families that would own small businesses on the island instead of having resorts that would increase tourist trade & create mor litter on the beaches. Nice if it was feasible. Perhaps if I’d read previous books I would appreciate the tight knit community better, but definitely could not listen to a Virtual Voice book again. Guess I’m a one and done.
