Award-winning storyteller Bill Gordh (Film Advisory Board Award of Excellence winner, National Association of Parenting Periodicals Gold Award winner) presents this folktale live with no script, accompanied only by his own dynamic banjo playing.

A king with a son and a king with a daughter decided it would be great if their children married. The prince loved the idea, but the princess made a demand. She wanted three rings - one from the stars, one from the moon, and one from the sun. Otherwise she was not interested. No one knew what to do. The prince's father offered half his kingdom for a solution. The wise ones offered nothing of use. The prince was in despair.

He wandered into the woods. There he met an old woman. She knew his troubles, offered him some herbs, and asked him to brush her hair until the sun went down. He did. She told him to hold up an herb to the first star that appeared and sing for a ring. He did. A ring descended from the star and dropped into his hand. Same with the moon. As the sun came up, she told him to sing out through her hair. The sun gave him the third ring. He asked if she wanted the reward. She only wanted him to pray for her, for she said she had not been such a good person in her life. He promised he would. The wedding was wondrous - a three-ring ceremony.
