Resumen del Editor

Is your golf driving you crazy? This audiobook will tell you why.

To reach your potential as a golfer, it helps to understand two things: You need to understand the game, and you need to understand yourself.

The game is simple; get the ball in the hole as quickly as you can. It’s the second element that leaves many golfers confused.

A simple game becomes more complicated than it should be when a golfer doesn’t understand how their mind really works. This misunderstanding is revealed in the questions they ask themselves when they play or practice.

  • Why do I rarely play my best golf when I really want to?
  • Why is it so difficult to fix and improve my golf swing?
  • Why do I feel so nervous on the first tee?
  • Why do I always sabotage myself when I have a good round going?
  • Why do I enjoy golf one day but find it frustrating and hard work the next?

Many golf psychology guides offer mental strategies and techniques to cope with the apparent pressures of the game and to address how golfers feel on the golf course.

This audiobook is different. It reveals the cause of the doubts and fears rather than trying to fix the symptoms.

Sam is 50 years ahead of his time.

Esoteric, thought provoking, golf psychology treatise by a veteran touring pro and teacher whose comprehensive work is based on Syd Banks' Three Principles. Sound principles, not ephemeral techniques. Chapter 7 is particularly cosmic and mystical. Read and reflect. This profound understanding will end your search, and start you on a new and meaningful journey. It will become a classic.

I've really read and searched them all

As a former teaching and playing pro, I was always striving to get better. After taking 13 years off to focus on my children I came back to golf at 54 still able to hit 300 plus hit my irons solid and short game still intact. I just was able to shot low scores like I used to. Now very clear why after going through this book. A must read for all golfers of all levels if you love golf as I do!!!
Well done Sam!!
Thank you

Disappointing Philosophies and Musings

Could not finish. After several hours of listening had to pull the plug. Heard nothing that I believe will improve my game or my enjoyment of the game. It tried to be deep and thoughtful but failed. A disappointing purchase and loss of several hours of time. Buy a Vision54 audiobook instead for mental and emotional approaches to the game.

The Three Principles worth the read?

As a matter of fact, I found it very intriguing and hard to ignore. I couldn’t listen to it in one sitting, but I found myself squeezing any ounce and every ounce of free time to absorb it.
For a golfer like myself, who devoted many hours, days, and years to this wonderful game, the insights are a worthy departure from the cliche’ bits of regurgitated wisdom any and every wannabe coach. I’ve turned many pages searching for an antidote for nerves, doubt, and fear of failure.
Sam Jarmand introduces the golfer to himself/herself and the better player they can be, without a single swing correction. As a weekend golfer with limited practice if any, the fundamental self forgiveness and introspection of one’s own abilities, capabilities, and views will lighten the burden of self sabotage with renewed confidence and control.

About Golf

This audiobook is not just about golf, though it will help your game as it did mine. There's substance here and will help you get out of your own way on the golf course and off. Chapter 7 is a complicated subject, but I'm glad he included it. Be patient and finish the book, you'll be glad that you did.
