story of civilization brings to life the events of developing civilizations. history is important to study because it reflects the advance of our modern age and gives us a perspective of appreciation for the things and freedoms we have. let us never take our culture and freedom for granted here in the u.s.a

My children and I enjoyed this 2nd book in the series and will be continuing to the 3rd book. We were happy with Kevin Gallagher's reading voice.

A very informative history of the world during medieva time's including the fall of the Roman empire in 476 C.E.

Great information...can't follow along with book

Great narrator, great information! my only disappointment is that the chapters dont match the book and there are not indicators of where you are in the story compared to the book. i bought it for my daughter to listen to as she follows along with some chapters...but now i have to go through and figure out the times myself. disappointed :(

Great supplement for homeschool history.

Lots of information packed into an enjoyable book. Highly recommend anything by Mr. Phillip Campbell.

Great story telling of history

My 7 and 8 year old would listen to this history for as long as I would let them. They loved the stories and the way history was told. They also enjoyed hearing how the Catholic Church was involved in history.

“Story of Why Catholic Church is true”

Bullshit christianity bias wrapped in history, to make it look true. Civilization has nothing to do in this book series, besides augmenting the “proof” that Catholic Church and the bullshit character Jesus is true. If you want that, go ahead and get this book, but if you are looking for unbiased history, stay away and get Will Durant’s books with the same title instead,

i did enjoy this book

I did enjoy the book but I enjoyed volume 1 of the Old Testament &value 2 of the New Testament better than a volume 1 of the ancient world and volume 2 of the mid evil world. I'm going to listen to the modern world and the history of the United States and the history of the church and I will add my reviews for those books .
but as for this book it is OK. I did enjoy it. I do recommend it for children and adults as well. lots of valuable information i just feel like they could happen more information.
