The Stone Shelter: A Stonebutch/Stonefemme Love Affair invites listeners into their first-ever glimpse of a real-life love affair between a stone couple. The audio is filled with copies of actual letters, texts, gifts, and stories that passed between the two. Included are the genteel and insightful discussions where they negotiate kinkier aspects of their dynamics; share their navigation of a blooming long distant love; as well as the erotic objectification, worship, and sexual banter that characterizes the evolution and expression of butch-femme desire. Think Gentleman Jack meets Mr. & Mrs. Smith and be prepared to have their words sear romantic chemistry that is both possible, and tangible, into your imagination.
These are real letters, edited only for privacy and minor clarifications. Many of these samples were hand-written, their paper folded carefully and pressed into an envelope with red-wax seals, a stamp the proof of hope they arrive into their intended’s hands. Others were emailed, written into the glow of a late-night screen, the words needing to reach them with primal urgency. All entries take you, step by step, through the process these two, very cautious individuals - the author (writing as Isabel Dane) and her paramour, Atlas - followed. These two, who deeply value what they offer to a prospective partner, showcasing for our eyes only, old-fashioned/old-school (OFOS) at its most tender, affirming, and refined moments.
