Resumen del Editor

Isabella Latham's callous father sold her into marriage to settle a gambling debt. Rather than face life with a cruel man more than twice her age, she runs from New York and becomes a mail-order bride. Bella's dreams are simple. All she needs to be happy is a home, children, and an honorable man to love her.

Alex Hastings lost his wife in a riding accident two years before. Left with two adorable but mischievous twin four-year-old daughters, he's convinced they need a mother to take care of them.

Alex knows he must marry, but vows he'll never love another woman. Bella's tenderness and fire melts Alex's stone cold heart. But when her jilted fiance from New York sends men to capture Bella, will Alex be able to get back his stolen bride?

Journey Forward

This was a very good book. I enjoyed the journey with Bella and in getting to know Alex. I did fine his stubbornness irritating, but he finally realized how he felt and made her feel well loved. On the whole it really is a good book and I recommend it whole heartedly. I read this book several years ago, but listening to it today, was like hearing a new book. I look forward to listening to many more books.

Will Bella Be Saved?

Alex was talked into sending for a Mail Order Bride so that his daughters would have a new mother. He was adamant that he would not fall in love with her.

Bella had to flee from NY, Why? Who was she running from? When she arrived in Hope's Crossing, Montana she was very nervous and she was determined that her marriage to Alex be consummated, why?

I highly recommend that you get this incredible Audiobook. It will certainly show you how cruel some men can be and how honorable and loving other men are.

This is a very emotional story and I think you will enjoy it as much as I have, just be sure to have tissues ready when you cry tears of anguish and tears of joy.

I recommend that you get the whole series of Hope's Crossing. You will love listening to the narrator Lia tell this story.

Suspenseful, romantic mail order bride tale

The novel revisits some familiar characters from previous Hope's Crossing stories but can be read alone with no knowledge of the previous stories in the series. The hero, a widower with young daughters, gains a mail order bride with little domestic knowledge but who brings danger and secrets. Though often Woolf's books seem to follow a pattern, this one deviates somewhat from that. As I read, I was afraid of the worse for the heroine. Woolf does an excellent job creating suspense for the reader with a satisfying ending. My biggest complaint was the narrator's tendency to use a southern accent for Yankee women. It is still a great novel to listen to so one can escape from life for a while.
