I loved it. A hugely entertaining read!

The Spy Coast is a marvellously plotted read with action-packed pages, G-force twists and turns, and a platoon of fascinating characters.
I truly hope to see Maggie Bird and her team of silver-haired helpers on the pages again.

A riveting tale filled with engaging characters. I look forward to the rest of the series.

A nice take on retirement-five old spooks whose bones may ache but whose minds remain sharp. You can expect mystery, action, and bloodshed in this exciting thriller

Good clear story

The idea of going back and forward in time was good. A cross over spy and love story worked well. However the need for two readers who sounded so alike seemed unnecessary

Looking forward to the next novel

I really enjoyed the story and the characters. The writing is solid and it left me curious to read more. I love that the protagonist is a woman of a more ripe age. She’s fantastic.
The only HUGE complaint I have is that the accents in this audiobook were some of the worst I have ever heard in my life. The British accents sounded like ‘drunk Australian’ at best. I really struggled with that. If you can’t do an accent properly: don’t do it. It’s distracting. I really hope that particular narrator (I don’t know which one she was) will be replaced in the next novel
