So Disappointing!

This listen was so predictable. The story was just about boring except I kept hoping something exciting was on the horizon. I'm sorry to write this review as I've most often enjoyed Ms. Brogans' books.
I've listened to several books using "virtual narrators"?. Every one has been unemotional with very few happy or serious inflections. This book was far from the way ANY story naturally reads. The mumbling & listless sound on all the words could have easily been repeated on any of the following pages.
After listening to several books using a boring "Virtual Assistant", I definitely prefer our human voices as Narrators.
With the speed of Technology😲, I'm thinking any "issues" showing up as negative reviews, will be fixed & decrease or even disappear as I finish this review! 🫡
