Killing a thousand snakes was the easy part. Staying alive was the hard part. Noah had his flood and Josh Bledsoe had his. Of course Noah was warm and dry in the ark while Josh floated on a door. Instead of forty days, Josh used his wits to survive four days and three nights without a knife, hatchet or anything but his dog. He landed in an abandoned house and fought and killed at least a thousand snakes. His dad had told him the thinking man was a live man and when you stop thinking you die. During those four days alone he faced death square in the eye and didn’t blink. The lessons his dad taught him were the difference between living and dying and he gained a new found respect for his dad. The setting for THE SNAKE KILLER is coastal eastern North Carolina and the hurricane was named Floyd. The 1999 flood was called the millennial flood and covered thousands of square miles. Over seventy people lost their lives.
