Literary Greatness and Creativity

What great imagery. This book captured my attention immediately. I literally read it in two sittings. Excellent story of empowerment and survival. I’ll probably read it several more times. Highly recommended!

Wow! Wow! Wow!

This is such an adorable mystic intriguing exciting story. I want to see the movie. Excited to read part 2. Hope there are parts 2 and 3. Luta Mack this was a brilliant storyline, so fun it brought out all the emotions.

I enjoy this book from beginning to end. The storyline is very interesting and I really couldn’t stop listening. The author wrote a wonderful novel and delivered a captivating narration in this audiobook.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great read. I will also purchase the paperback copy, to have in my collection, because it is a masterpiece.

This book will make a wonderful movie and I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Masterful Storytelling!

Masterful storytelling, with a very authentic yet creative storyline...

I appreciate that this book represented an opportunity to share the Caribbean perspective on this period in Black history, and that much work was done to detail the culture and the history well.

Furthermore, I thought this book to be very powerful. It detailed some very hard truths about that oppressive time period, that is often desensitized in some literary pieces. The author achieved this while still establishing a unique caveat or perspective, that makes this story of a past world intriguing in a fresh new light.

Grateful for this piece and interested to read more works from this author.

A True Tribute

This book felt like a non-fiction story of our Ancestors. Luther’s voice kept me sitting at the edge of my seat for the next chapter. You’ll enjoy every bit of this book.

A must read fiction; brilliantly delivered

This book delicately balances historical authenticity with creative story telling.…. The plot was clear and intriguing and depicted vibrant characters that were easy to become attached to. The writing was well paced and I quickly became so invested I found it hard to stop listening. This story of fictional facts really challenged my imagination to travel to the mountains of my home country in a manner that I never thought of before; “as a slave” ……hence I’m left with the bigger question of what price would I be willing if any, to change my blackness to save me from slavery had I been faced with such a dilemma…
