Prepare to face most of your emotions!

THIS STORY!  Prepare to face most of your emotions in one book. The Singing Blade is reminiscent of “Lord of the Rings” with its world building, unique characters, and magical system. That’s not to say it copies LOTR. It doesn’t. It’s a totally unique tale with its own quirky, heroic, and dastardly characters, but it has the tone of a true epic fantasy. It has heartbreak beyond belief, but somehow the good shines through. There are truly loveable characters you want to cheer for and those you hate. There’s going to be another book, so now I have to wait to see who wins, but I suspect good triumphs. I’ll be rereading this again next year. The narrator is amazing and I caught myself humming the Outlander TV theme song because of her accent. (The author is a musician and needs to write an earworm like that one for this series 🤭 I could easily see this on the big screen.)
