When one man is brutally murdered and the priest he works for mortally wounded, Willet Dura, reeve to the king of Bunard, is called to investigate. Trying too hard
Storyline and magic were decent. Writing was terrible. Metaphors seemed like they were thrown in as filler and they were painfully bad. I finished the book and was tempted to do the sequel but can’t bring myself to do it. I did really appreciate the fact that the writing was clean and morally redemptive.
