The Shelved Wife

From the study of a mural Amelia decided to focus on bettering herself for her, and no one else.Amelia decided, as a shelved wife, that this was the time to do the things, she never thought she would do before. Try something new, go somewhere she’d never been. Do things even if she’s unsure of whether she’d like them or not, because she just might surprise herself. Amelia had to remind herself that there's nothing wrong with being left alone, and that she was an awesome, independent woman making it on her own. For she certainly doesn’t want to be anyone’s option. She wanted to be someone’s priority.But until then, Gabriel’s going to keep her shelved for as long as he can or wants.Gabriel married Amelia to buy himself more time. But he’s still thinking about his paramours and that is taking priority for him. He’s keeping his wife on the shelf for times when he needs a wife. He wants to make sure that Amelia’s primary focus is on him, even if he’s out there sowing his wild oats and when he finds out that she was keeping her options open, too, he didn’t like it not one little bit. When Amelia began opening up, trusting, communicating, being more loving to all. It was time to take her off the shelf.
