It's now 1882, and after a decade of hiding away in an abandoned town, with her Reverend caregiver, barely surviving the harsh Minnesota winters, Ruth is ready to move on and start a new life for herself. Maybe she can even find her sister. But it's an unlikely hope as Ruth isn't sure if she is even still alive, let alone, a human anymore.

The open plains are a dangerous place. Made even more so by the threat of the deadly creatures, roaming the nights, on their murderous rampage. Despite wanting to tackle her future alone, and her desire to put her past behind her, Ruth meets a group of unexpected allies and together they decide to hunt down the beasts and set out end to their reign of terror.

But the enemy is always one step ahead, leaving a path of gore and death in their wake.

As the gang follows their blood-trail north, they encounter several challenges along the way. Can four men and one young naive girl take down an evil and elusive army of dog-monster-men adversaries? Will the cost of the hunt be too much to pay? Will Ruth find her sister and if she does, what will come of it?

Told in first-person present tense, this fast-paced historical horror creature-feature, is sure to keep you fully engaged until the very last page.
