Resumen del Editor

Liz McAllister is looking forward to a much-needed spring break. But when she travels home to Clearfield, Pennsylvania, she discovers that something strange is happening around her sleepy little hometown. The peace is abruptly shattered as earthquakes split the ground and falling satellites burn across the sky. Hordes of vicious monsters materialize across the world and the Earth is engulfed in chaos. Cut off from the outside world, Liz teams up with Mike and their small group of friends. Together they desperately battle the monsters that are devastating Clearfield. Their efforts are aided by the discovery of magic and the arrival of otherworldly allies. But even with new allies and magical powers, the evil hordes are unending and the fate of our world hangs in the balance. Can humanity survive the Shearing?

meh

The author did not do any homework on fire arms, at the beginning of the book the marine of the book loaded a clip into his hand gun that took magazines and a woman managed to load 4 rounds into a chamber witch is like having 4 objects occupying the same space at the same time, try putting 4 gallons of water in a one gallon bottle its like that. then there is the bullshit bullet physics but that can be explained by magic in this story's case.

so yeah I couldn't even get half way through the book it was the narrators style and poor sound editing in some places and his tone a constant sense of tension everything is that the edge of his seat even the moment of relative calm in the story.

Fantastic storyline

The Shearing presents a new take on the apocalypse with a captivating storyline and wonderful ensemble of characters. I really enjoyed the fact that the author adapted other mythology into the story. It was like listening to a D’n’D campaign brought to life by Eric Carlino’s voice. Normally I prefer longer audios (12hrs at least) but they way Eric narrates made it feel longer. Simply put, I’m hooked on a new series and would absolutely suggest giving this a listen.

Who's the target audience?

I don't know who this book was written for. The plot and characters are simplistic enough for young kids, think He-man or Thundercats complexity. Then death and dismemberment is everywhere. The magical stuff here seems drawn from tabletop and computer RPGs. The dialog is awkward and unnatural throughout, and none of the characters act like people. The world goes into chaos and the lead characters experience magical events, even gaining magic powers. Through all of that no one freaks out. The response from everyone is calm, but passing, interest. It's like none of it is a big deal. It's a jumbled mess.

I couldn't finish this thing it's just bad.
