The Shattered Façade is a memoir of a woman who has refused to be destroyed by the storms of life. Rising above abuse, rising above addiction, Rebekah has become an award-winning actress, musician and author despite the odds. "It's time to go into the tornado of chaos and step into clarity." My life has been a constant litany of storms. Abused as a child and riddled by addictions, I hid behind a composed veneer. Bound by shame, I ran. From backpacking through South America, road-tripping solo across Australia, to droving cattle in the outback, I avoided pain at all costs.
There was no relief in running. There was no relief in hiding. There was only release in facing my pain, head-on.
The Shattered Façade is not only my tale of truth, but it is my fight from victim to victor. This is my tale of unashamedly shattering my façade.
